Bay of Islands, NZ
Days before Emily and i got to the Bay of Islands, there was torrential rain which washed away one of the major bridges! Luckily it settled down by the time we arrived. its raining now though on our last day!
we went kiaking a couple of days ago. normally the dolphins will come and swim alongside you put because of all the rain, the water is too muddy for them at the moment :( we still had a wicked time though (and got absolutely soaking wet!)
we went for another walk yesterday and sent about 20 minutes looking at an eel! we wanted it to come to the surface so we could take a picture! the waterfall at the end was huge but kinda yellow :s
we're going back to Auckland today to meet up with laura. the doc said shes much better but cant put anything on her shoulders for 3 weeks - guess we are carrying her bag!!!!

I'm the first to add a comment, yay! A bit like being the first person to walk on the snow.... kind of.... well, I know what I mean anyway. So you're in NZ, fantastic. Have you been up the sky tower and walked on the glass floor? Hope the weather stays good for you, sunshine is better tho not sure Laura would agree at the mo. Ow for her sunburn, how on earth did that happen? Poor girl.
Are you going to hang around in Auckland for a while? Do a bit of Mauri dancing and wailing and strange things with your tongue? Well, enjoy whatever you do. Have a great time, must fly but will be back soon,

shame about not seeing the dolphins but glad you got to do the kayaking. the holiday in france i have booked should enable us to go kayaking or white water rafting so maybe you can teach me some new tricks!

i didnt just walk up the sky tower i jumped off it!!! was really scary letting go but fab once you do!
been kaiking twice already so il be a pro by the time we go to france!
lauras doing great and her shoulders look so much better! shes very impressed with the doctor. it was soo bad though that she got healthcare free!
